Jeralee Underwood was 11 years old when she was abducted.  In the wake of her disappearance, the community of Pocatello, Idaho, came together to search for her. Eight days after her disappearance, Jeralee’s remains were found an hour’s drive north of her home. Her killer confessed shortly after he was arrested. He was later sentenced to death.

In this episode, Neal Larson interviews Jeralee’s parents, Jeff and Joyce Underwood. They discuss the immediate aftermath of Jeralee’s death, as well as the journey the last 30 years have taken them.

The Underwoods are known for their remarkable ability to forgive and carry forward even in the midst of their daughter’s heinous murder.
