While I’m a news/talk radio host by trade, this podcast is all about venturing beyond the news cycle, and hopefully transcending the day-to-day politics that are often messy and confusing, and talking with people who have compelling stories to tell.
In this first season of Extra!, you’ll hear the stories of people who have endured excruciating circumstances — circumstances few of us will ever encounter in our lives. What did they learn? How did they cope? What can their experience teach the rest of us?
